MSN TV:How did you get involved with "Castle"?Alyssa Milano: "Castle" had actually had offered me a couple of scripts beforehand, which was very sweet. I
had told them that I definitely wanted to do the show, but just wanted to find a character that was right for me.
And then this script came up, and I thought it was awesome. So I agreed to do it, and that was it.
Little did I know that Nathan Fillion actually had a list of actors that he wanted to do a guest spot on the show. I was on that list.
That was sweet, too.
Once you did agree to do the show, did you have any input on your character? They were very open to all of my ideas. But I have to tell you: The script was pretty much right-on as soon as they sent it to me.
It's a tricky episode because it starts off with someone getting killed, and you have to walk this tightrope of being in mourning as opposed to
other things that are going on. I spoke to the show's creator Andrew Marlowe about trying to have that balance.
But, we will get to see some of your comedy chops in this guest role, too. Right?Umm. Not really, actually. The show certainly has a light tone to it. But I don't think there were any scenes that were comedic for me.
The comedy on that show is usually around Nathan and the precinct.
Were you a fan of the show before you were approached by Andrew?Yes! I think it's a really smart, well-written show.
